Land of The Long White Cloud
Scrubby Bay House | Residential Farmhouse Design by Patterson Associates

This residential farmhouse is set as the centre piece of a remote, symmetrical and thundering surf beach. It is sited on one of New Zealand’s iconic coastal sheep and cattle stations on the South Island – accessed only by helicopter or by farm track. Designed for an expatriate owner by Patterson Associates.

This week also features Toni Brogan, a New Zealand artist based in New York with a studio in the Catskills, where she creates soft, sculptural works in the woven medium.

Aotearoa is the Maori name for the country of New Zealand. The literal translation of Aotearoa is Land of The Long White Cloud.
